ABOUT ME!

Taylor Govers is a 21 year old inspiring audio engineer from Palmerston North, New Zealand. Taylor has experience within several musical fields to date, with experience in live sound/events, audio VST3 programming and studio recording/editing. A multi-instrumentalist, Taylor has recently also discovered a passion for film. His future plans include working within the Asian animation industry, as well as releasing a suite of VST3 plugins aimed towards Japanese pop-culture enthusiasts and inexperienced DAW users in late 2019.



During his formative years, Taylor was part of several Manawatu-based Musical groups, including a top NZ male choir (best all-male choir in NZ for 2014), a Scottish Pipe Band and a National-competing barbershop quartet ‘Forte’. Having finished high school a year early, Taylor started university during his final high school year, as well as achieving an NZQA English Scholarship (top 2.5% of NZ). He then began his professional audio journey in 2017, starting a Bachelor of Commercial Music at Massey University, majoring in Music Technology with a minor in Music Industry. During this time, Taylor was production manager for several shows (including a 3-city NZ tour in 2018) He also spent a brief period volunteering at Wellington Dive bar Valhalla, helping as crew for bands such as Dragonforce (US), Noise Drone Repeat (NZ) etc. Taylor plans to leave his legacy within media, through his passion for film audio and drive to work on productions that he could be proud of being involved in.
